img_5001Hey hi I’m Emily Hope Dobkin and I love being a community engager.
I consider myself a ringleader of community building experiences that use art to nurture curiosity, encourage social bridging, and fuel empowerment.

I am 100% dedicated to implementing hands-on, dynamic programs that not only bond & bridge various populations of people, but spark their creative voices and power to dig deeper.

I’ve studied various art forms across the globe, including Dance As Cultural Metaphor at the Federal University in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Brown Paper Studio, an arts methodology that uses the basics of theatre to collaboratively create in Cape Town, South Africa and hold a Masters in Arts Management from University of Oregon. These and other arts experiences have inspired me to facilitate a range of engaging educational opportunities in cultural organizations in Baltimore, Eugene, San Francisco, and most recently in Santa Cruz as the Manager of Public Playmaking at the Santa Cruz Museum of Art & History (that means I was all about activating public spaces with art, history, and infusing participatory whirls in every nook & cranny I could).

I just moved to Denver and am currently seeking to join a team of movers, makers & shakers that also strive to make a difference through creative programming.

In general: I’m into making things move, venturing the earth, spools, nests, oxymorons, ice cream, early morning anything and getting craftacular for a cause. My side gigs include being a wondermaker, blogger, and teaching weird & wonderful yoga classes (see: muffin top flow).
I consider myself a possibilitarian on the daily and thrive on exploring the potential of all things, beings and doings.
